Mental Health Awareness Week: Embrace Movement for Better Wellbeing

As we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week this year, we highlight the power of movement and its impact on mental health. Incorporating physical activity into our daily lives can transform every area of our lives. Here’s how:

Why Moving More Will Help You in Every Area of Your Life

Mental Health

Studies show that just 30 minutes of exercise a day can reduce depression and anxiety by releasing endorphins, the body's natural feel-good hormones.

Physical Health

Regular movement is crucial for maintaining good physical health. Research indicates that individuals who sit for more than 8 hours a day without adequate activity have a 90% higher risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Social Connection

Group workouts or outdoor activities offer excellent opportunities to connect with others, enhancing social wellbeing.

Work & Productivity

Regular physical activity can increase productivity by up to 20% and improve overall work performance. Movement breaks during the workday can enhance focus, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
