Services

Real Purpose equips you for success with comprehensive employment services. From CV writing and job application support to interview preparation and in-work support, we guide you through every step.

Our tailored offerings include Employment Clinics, one-to-one appointments, and training. Our skilled tutor delivers group sessions on various topics for our clients. For employers, we facilitate recruitment and training on mental health awareness and more.

Get Work-Ready

We will help you ensure that when you get paid employment you are already prepared for the Right to Work in the UK checks that everyone has to undertake by making sure you have the correct documents, as well as a bank account and National Insurance number.

This means that when you get a job offer you can move into work without delay.

CV Writing

A CV is an important tool for getting into work, however, there is an art to making sure you ‘sell yourself’ to an employer or voluntary work provider.

At Real Purpose we have the skills, experience and tools to ensure that you appeal to them. It is crucial that you believe in yourself and a CV helps you see all what you have to offer.

Job Application Support

This help is vital to ensuring you ‘get that job or voluntary work’, as we can support you in unravelling the online system of applying for work, which can be confusing but is more or less adopted by all employers and placement providers nowadays.

We are experts in helping you succeed with paper or online applications.

Employment Clinics

We run these advice clinics across the county in all towns where we can see you face to face (we also offer support over Teams, Zoom and WhatsApp as well as by phone).

We can see you at community locations local to where you live and the clinics will be on set days and times where you will be offered an appointment.

One-to-One Appointments

These sessions are with your personal employment adviser and can be face-to-face, or over Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp or by phone.

When we see you face to face this can be at an Employment Clinic or at a café near where
you live. We will give you a personal employment adviser who will help you on your journey to finding and sustaining paid employment, voluntary work or a learning opportunity.

Interview Preparation

Interviews with employers and placement providers are an inevitable part of your journey into work yet they can often feel daunting and
provoke anxiety.

Your personal employment adviser will help you prepare, offer you our face-to-face or online group sessions on interview preparation and provide you with a mock interview using our staff to practice for the real thing and provide supportive feedback.

Employer Engagement

Our employment advisors and directors are engaging with local employers to place our suitably prepared and skilled clients to benefit your business.

We create relationships that mean we do support your new employee(s) to sustain their job but can also support you.

Skills, Learning & Training

Our tutor-led sessions are offered both in-person and online. Covering self-confidence, motivation, job preparation, and interview skills, our courses are tailored to your needs.

Partnering with local employers, we provide skills training for real-world success. Employers can benefit from sessions on recruiting and managing staff with mental health experiences and for organisations, our awareness training spans mental health awareness and beyond.

Leicestershire Employment & Skills Programme

Real Purpose is committed to providing the Leicestershire Employment & Skills programme to Leicestershire county residents who are at risk of mental ill health or are currently using primary care services for mental health support.

Please note that our current funding allows us to work with individuals meeting specific eligibility criteria:

  • Aged 18 years and over

  • Residing in Leicestershire County (not Leicester City)

  • Actively seeking work or learning opportunities, including those already employed looking to change jobs or retain their current role

  • Registered with a GP

  • At risk of mental ill health or currently managing mental health challenges with primary care health services

Please note this service is for individuals currently living in Leicestershire County (not Leicester City) and under Primary Care services only. Primary Care services include your General Practice (GP), a Mental Health Facilitator or a counsellor/therapist based at your surgery.

Unfortunately, this means we cannot help you if you are currently under the care of an NHS Psychiatrist, Community Psychiatric Nurse and/or Community Mental Health Team (also known as Secondary Care services.)

However, please note that there are services that can help individuals who don’t meet this criteria (please get in touch at info@realpurpose.uk and we will do our best to signpost you to a suitable organisation which can help you.)

Real Purpose aims to broaden our criteria in the future to be able to help more individuals.
